Why are we “canceling” church services?

We are not canceling church! The Board of Elders has unanimously agreed that beginning Sunday March 22, thru March 31, 2020 that traditional church services, Bible studies and meetings will temporarily be suspended. Alternate worship and study plans will be made available to the congregation so that you may continue your worship at home. It was with prayerful consideration that these decisions were made to protect the safety and welfare of our church body during the pandemic by not gathering as a large group, following the recommendations of Federal, State and Local officials

How will I receive worship information materials?

Alternate home worship materials will be shared with church congregation primarily through email, text, and our website ( and on US Mail or hand delivery will be made if you do not have email or internet.

We encourage you to use these materials at home to worship at our regular 9:10 am Sunday worship time and Lenten Midweek Services Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. While we will not be together as one church body physically we will be together as one body in worship.

Please make sure the church office has your current and correct email address. You may email Tammy at the church at, , or contact the church by phone at 361-573-2232 or contact your Elder with your email information or other preferred contact information.

In additional the church is exploring other means of home worship through live streaming using our website, Facebook, YouTube, etc.. We are currently set up for a live stream service which can be found at www.facebook/  Current and past live streams are available.  This is new to us all, so please be patient as we work through all the bumps and hiccups and call us if you have any questions.

Will the church be open?

At this time, the church office will remain open during this period. You may contact Tammy at the office by phone or email.
