In order to start an early childhood center we will be remodeling the education wing for larger class sizes, obtaining equipment, updating the playground and hiring a director!
This will take time and money. We need your help to get it done!
Remodel of Education wing: $14,000
Upgrade of playground: $4500
New computer: $1500
Hire a Director: $80,000 (max. cost for 1 yr. of salary and benefits)
TOTAL TO START: $100,000
In addition we will be seeking financial commitments for two years after the start of classes of another $150,000 ($75k per year) to cover any shortfall that might occur before the ECC has full enrollment.
note: some numbers and amounts may be subject to change
To that end we are prayerful that at the end of this process we will be operating a full-time ECC with 40-45 students from ages 2 yrs to 4 yrs in three separate classes.
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Through prayer and support the letterhead you see above will soon become a reality! On August 16th in a Special Voters Meeting, Grace Lutheran Church voted to take a major step in starting an Early Childhood Center. In a unanimous vote the decision was made to begin a fundraising campaign to set aside the seed money necessary to start and open an ECC on our church campus.
There are many things to be done before we open the literal doors: from remodeling classrooms, deciding on an official name, hiring a director and teachers, designing a mission statement, and more. This is an exciting time for the ministry here at Grace and we are thrilled to have you join us as we seek to touch the hearts and minds of God’s Little Lambs with the love of Christ.
We invite you to join us on October 25th @ 9:10am in a Reformation Celebration! Not only will we mark the anniversary of the Reformation, we will witness our most recent Jr. Confirmands confess their belief in grace alone, Scripture alone and Faith alone. And we will kick off the Early Childhood Center campaign with a special offering!
We have a total fundraising goal of $250,000 which includes initial gifts and annual commitments to cover any operational deficits that might occur during the first few years. The goal of the ECC is for it to be self-sustaining with a student enrollment of 45 children ages 2-4.
We have begun this ECC effort because we truly feel God has blessed us, gifted us, and will equip us with this wonderful opportunity, mission, and mindset. Jesus said, “Bring the little children unto me, and do not hinder them,” and “feed my lambs.” (Mt. 19:14; Jn 21:15)
You can make all this possible by joining us in support. The first thing we ask is that you pray! Pray for God’s blessing to cover this endeavor, to guide our leaders, and to bring it all to completion. Second, participate by joining us through volunteering, attending, and spreading the word about what God is doing in our midst. Lastly, provide a gift. Currently we are seeking financial gifts over and above your regular tithes and offerings, but there will also be many other ways to provide in the months and years ahead. So again, we ask: Pray…Participate…Provide!
Thank you for your prayers!
Rev. Keith Aschenbeck
