Small Group Ministry
Small groups were started many years ago at Grace to provide Christian fellowship and mutual support to group members. Small groups each determine how often they meet and how their group will function. Generally the meetings are held in members homes. This helps build relationships and over time, group members find they can depend on one another, and grow in Christian love for one another. While not their primary role, small groups can provide support to members during floods, hospitalizations, sicknesses, job loss, relationship difficulties and similar situations. Small groups are an important part of Grace's pastoral care and complement elder and Pastor's care.

General Guidelines for Small Groups
Participants will be asked to faithfully commit to the group for at least one year (it takes that long to get to know one another).
Meetings will consist of sharing, fellowship, prayer and Bible Study.
Each group will decide when and where it will meet and it activities - some groups may elect to have primarily fellowship, others may want a "light" Bible study, and still others may prefer an in-depth Bible study, while some may be sports oriented and some may be crafts/games focused.
The agenda will generally include ice breakers, sharing/prayer time, Bible study, fellowship and refreshments/meal time. Again, each group will determine its own agenda.
While generally in members' homes, groups may elect to meet at church, a restaurant, etc.
Each group generally will be limited to 12-14 individuals or 6-7 couples.
Inclusion of children, baby sitting, snacks, meals, etc., will be up to each group.
